Briarpatch Farm Joins the Greene County Chamber of Commerce
The Greene County Chamber of Commerce is proud to welcome Briarpatch Farm as its newest member. Briarpatch Farm is a family-owned and operated Black Angus beef farm rooted in Putnam County, proudly neighboring Greene County, with agricultural roots dating back to 1903. Built on generations of hard work, stewardship of the land, and a faith-first foundation, the farm is committed to raising high-quality beef that is grass-fed, grain-finished, responsibly raised, and locally grown.
“We’re proud to become a member of the Greene County Chamber of Commerce,” said Mike Rainey, Owner and Farmer at Briarpatch Farm. “We believe genuine connections are what make a difference in not only doing business but in everyday life. We are excited to connect with other local businesses while serving Georgia’s Lake Country.”
As a Georgia Centennial Farm, being family-owned and operated for over 100 years, Rainey, along with Farm Manager and daughter, Jill Boyer, carries forward the farm’s long-standing agricultural legacy with a shared focus on transparency, education, and community connection across Georgia’s Lake Country region.
Briarpatch Farm partners with the Putnam County High School’s CTAE Department, supporting hands-on learning by hosting two work-based learning students alongside their full-time team. Briarpatch Farm also gives back by hosting local events such as Songwriters Night, which helps raise funds for non-profits across the region at no cost to them.
