OUR STORY

Nestled in the heart of Putnam County, Georgia, Briarpatch Farm has sustained its owners from the land for over 120 years. A legacy built on faith, family, and hard work, it all began with a deep love for the outdoors, nature, and animals.

Owner and farmer Mike Rainey was raised to respect the land and the values passed down through generations. In 2014, Briarpatch Farm proudly earned the Centennial Farm designation, marking over a century of dedication to agriculture. Now in its fifth generation, the farm continues to evolve while holding steadfast to its roots. Change is inevitable—crops have shifted, loved ones have passed, but the land remains a constant, providing both sustenance and solace.

Over the years, our family has cultivated cotton, dairy, and timber, and today, we raise high-quality beef—feeding families far and wide. As stewards of this land, we are committed to working it with care, raising livestock responsibly, and ensuring that what we build today leaves a lasting, positive impact for future generations.

The country life is more than just a way of living—it’s a calling, a privilege, and a responsibility. And while it comes with challenges, the blessings it brings are priceless.
